It has\, namely\, the peculiarity of being a value-creating force\, the source of value\, and\, moreover\, when properly treated\, the source of more value than it possesses itself."\n-Engels\, Introduction to Wage Labour & Capital\, 1891.\n\nAt this event we will have a short seminar going over the text\, based on lectures given by Marx in 1847 and designed to be an introduction to the critique of political economy easily understood by working class people of the time.\n\nThis will be followed by some chaired discussion\, and people are welcome to stay and have a drink\, cup of tea\, and a chat afterwards.\n\nWe are hoping to also have self-published copies of the text available to all members as part of becoming a member of the Society\, as well as for purchase for non-members at close-to cost just to help us fundraise a little for future events.\n\nThe text can be read here\, but prior knowledge won't be necessary to hopefully enjoy and getting something out of our discussion:\nhttps://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/wage-labour/
